As I sit here and reflect on my experience with the workers comp system and the insurance companies that deal with this it would be in your best interest in my opinion to hire a lawyer who is well versed in all aspects of Workers Comp and who is willing to help the injured. I can only give you my side and what happened to me. I was hurt at work went through two surgeries and extensive rehab. Unfortunately for me they didn’t cure my situation. Through this whole process (2 plus years’ worth) my lawyer was with me to consult me, ask questions and to answer many and sometimes to console me with the passing of a family member. I got to know and respect my lawyer as I hope he did with me. You will need to have an open line of communication with whomever you choose no lies no B.S. Straight up tell Him/Her what is going on and what has happened to you. They have been down this road before and know the best course of action to take and when to act and just as importantly when not to. A few things that were done for me by my Lawyer. PAID on time Medical Bills covered All correspondence went through them. Surgeries approved Denials overturned Peace of mind that I still mattered. Confidence I could go on !!! All the above was denied until I got a Lawyer !!!!!
